USA Workshop
The girls that attended the United Space Alliance Workshop on March 28th had a lot of fun! They earned the Aerospace, Creative Solutions and Careers badges as well as receiving an event patch.
Mary's paper airplane was the one that flew the farthest and she won a bag full of goodies! Way to go Mary!!!!!!!
We got to watch the shuttle landing live! The girls were really excited about this and it was a nice bonus to our day!!

As you can see we will need to eat dinner before we get there so the girls will need $5 for dinner. There is also a gift shop they will give us time to visit and I was told they have t-shirts for $10.00 and stuffed animals from $6 to $10 dollars plus tax. They sell patches also and the troop will buy these for all the girls so no one will go home empty handed.
Please bring the stable's release form at this link: http://www.bluestreakstables.com/girlscouts/documents/ReleaseformBlueStreakStables4minors.pdf
...and here is the permission form for the troop:
http://www.gssjc.org/forms/F-204Me.pdf
Remind your daughter about behavior and not to argue and fight with each other. We are not the only troop that will be there. Make sure directions for medication is on the permission form and all medicine is labeled. If there are any medications your daughter cannot take please let me know. I am talking about ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc.
No electronic devices. This means Nintendo DS, cell phones, MP3 players and DVD players. They will just end up arguing and fighting over these items. Cameras are great but the responsibility or your daughter. The drive is 3 hours so they might want to bring a book to read.
I am not sure which of the adults will be driving yet but we have 19 girls going so it may be all of you! Please let me know how many kids you can take in your car. I volunteer to drive all their bags!!! Here is the link to the driver form: http://www.gssjc.org/forms/F-477e.pdf
Adult emergency form too: http://www.gssjc.org/forms/F-22e.pdf
I can't wait...we should have a lot of fun!
